DR. BEVERLEY ALICE BAILEY

Sadness couples with pride in announcing the passing of Dr. Beverley Alice Bailey, PhD ED, in Melita Health Center after a short battle with dementia and cancer.

The family would like to thank the professional and caring staff at Melita Health Center and Brandon Regional Health Center for guiding her to her final destination. Special thanks to caring hearts Peggy and Bev for being there for her comfort and friendship.

Our mother requested no memorial service take place. Predeceased by her oldest daughter Kara, she is survived by her daughter Kirsten, son Kai, and grandchildren Ivan, Sophia, Bailey, Alice, and Molly, she will be missed and loved in our memories.

Committed to scholarship on the subject of education, a dedicated collector of First Nations art, and a giving philanthropist, she was an inspiration, example, and reminder of the best in all of us.

Good night dear lady, you've earned your rest. Sleep tight, we'll see you when we get there.

  • To Bev’s family: Bev was such a vibrate, interesting, and fun colleague. I first met her when we took a CPR training course decades ago. It was always lovely to see her on campus and to have a brief catch-up. May you find comfort in many wonderful memories. I’m so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Shannon Gadbois (Colleague at BU) on: Feb 05, 2026
